The breezeway in between the barn and the house was re-built to house a new mudroom with laundry and a new upstairs bathroom for the house. This project ran in conjunction with the tear out and restructuring of the first floor to handle the load of a suspended slab 1.5 inches thick that has radiant heat tubing buried in it. This radiant heating is coupled with baseboard radiators on the second floor and are connected to a Greenwood Boiler that provides not only heating but domestic hot water. A back up Peerless boiler is also installed on the loop to provide domestic hot water during the summer and both domestic hot water and heating in the early fall and late spring. The upstairs bathroom also has radiant floor heating installed.
