Zac Sargent is our Historic Preservation Consultant. He has worked and studied extensively in the field as well as worked as a professional photographer over the past 5 years. Zac, a native of Morrisville, VT, did his undergraduate work at Mary Washington College in Virginia, earning his B.A. in Historic Preservation. He continued his studies at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland where he earned his MSc. in Architectural Studies in 2002. Lastly, Zac finished his Professional Photography Studies at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University in 2006. For the past two years, Zac has worked as a freelance photographer in San Francisco, but moved back to the east coast in February of 2008.
Zac worked as a Subcontractor for Restoration Concepts on a restoration job in the summer of 2002 in Burlington, VT and then moved on to work for the Boston Preservation Alliance. There he assisted in the preparation of a National Historic Register District nomination, conducting historic resource surveys, and updating the Boston Landmarks Commission survey records in the financial district.
Most recently, he worked as an assistant project manager for Muckle and Associates in Massachusetts managing restoration jobs including, the John Adams Courthouse in Boston, Smithsonian’s Old Patent Office in Washington, D.C., and a private residence in Weston, MA.
Zac brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team and can provide the expertise to guide a historic preservation project or provide architectural suggestions to add a special touch to a newer structure.
